Cybersecurity Practices that Protect Keenova Data—and Patients

Team & Culture

Cybercriminals continually target healthcare organizations in an attempt to steal sensitive information and disrupt essential services. According to HIPAA Journal, since the U.S. government began tracking healthcare data breaches in 2009, reported incidents have increased each year, with 2025 reaching 772 large breaches (affecting 500 or more people).

At Keenova, cybersecurity is a business responsibility. It is foundational to the trust that patients, healthcare providers, clinical investigators, partners, and team members place in us every day.

Strong cybersecurity requires a combination of technology, processes, and people working together.

Here are five ways we continuously strengthen our security and resilience:

  1. Protecting Access to Information
Protecting sensitive information starts with controlling who can access it. Keenova uses security controls and identity verification measures to help ensure information is only available to authorized individuals.
  2. Safeguarding Data Responsibly
We are committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information entrusted to us. Data is managed using approved systems and processes designed to reduce risk and support regulatory obligations.
  3. Extending Security to Our Trusted Partners
Cybersecurity extends beyond our own organization. We evaluate applicable third-party providers for security and operational risk to help ensure they meet our standards before they are entrusted with sensitive information.
  4. Staying Vigilant Against Emerging Threats
Cyber threats continue to evolve, and so do our defenses. We maintain ongoing security monitoring, team member awareness efforts, and risk management activities to strengthen our ability to identify and respond to potential threats.
  5. Building Resilience for the Future
Strong cybersecurity is about both protection and preparedness. Through business continuity and incident response planning, we work to ensure critical operations can continue and recover effectively when unexpected events occur.

A Shared Responsibility

Cybersecurity is not solely the responsibility of security professionals or technology teams. At Keenova, every team member plays an important role in protecting data, operations, and the patients who depend on our work.
