Jonathan Zinman
Jonathan Zinman brings deep leadership experience and a proven ability to maximize shareholder value, with expertise in driving financial and operational transformation for companies navigating complex reorganizations.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Mr. Zinman’s background spans investment analysis focused on event-driven, process-intensive, and post-reorganization situations; board roles for companies emerging from distress; and earlier work as a restructuring lawyer. He is currently the managing member of JZ Advisors LLC (JZA), a firm that invests in and provides strategic advice to businesses and investors across a broad range of industries. Prior to founding JZA, he was a managing director at Silver Point Capital from November 2019 to September 2024 and previously held the same role at Solus Alternative Asset Management LP from August 2012 to November 2019). He also practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis from 2007 to 2012 and served as a board observer for Endo Inc. from April 2024 to January 2025.
Mr. Zinman currently sits on the boards of directors of MP Topco Holdings, LLC (also known as Maker’s Pride), a food solutions company, since March 2025; Belk, Inc. an American department store chain, since October 2024; Tradesman International, a construction company, since June 2024; Azul Airlines, a Brazilian airline company, since May 2025; Helium Holdings, an AI-generated hiring platform, since November 2025; Par Health since its spin-off from Keenova in November 2025; and Sterling Enterprise, a regional sports network, since January 2026.
Mr. Zinman earned both his Juris Doctor and MBA from the University of Michigan’s Law School and Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.
